Watching an amazing video on YouTube all alone isn’t always fun, isn’t it? The experience is usually better when you have people around with whom you can chat and share your opinion about the video. YouTube Social is a nice online tool that aims to create a social YouTube video watching experience by connecting you with friends and helping you chat with them while watching the video.

As you see in the screenshot above, the interface is easy to understand. The video plays on the left and there’s a chat list on the right. At the bottom, there’s the URL of the room you need to share with friends so that they could join you in watching the video.

You can find the videos you want to watch right from YouTube Social’s interface. You may also enter the URL of the YouTube video to start watching it.

As your friends visit the URL of the room, they start appearing as guests in the chat room on the right. This is where you guys can talk and have fun while the video plays in the background.

The person who starts a room always has the remote. That means if he pauses the video, it pauses for everyone else. Friends can be also be added through Facebook Connect.

So, the next time you want to show someone a YouTube video and ask what he thinks about it, don’t just email him the YouTube video link. Instead, start a YouTube Social room, invite him and have a chat right there. It’d be more fun for sure. :)
