Chrome ExtensionsLet’s face it; there are a lot of extensions out there for Chrome.  So, how do you know which ones are really worth a look?  We’ve put together a short list of some you might want to check out.  Let us know what you think!

Postrank

Postrank is an extension made for Google Reader that allows you to stay up-to-the-minute on posts and other news items that matter the most.  The way it works is simple: Postrank will aggregate engagement activity such as tweets, votes, and comments from about 24 social networks, and will then rank the stories in order of “importance.”

Layers

For those readers that are super organized, Layers is the extension for you!  Layers will let you overlay content such as images, videos, tweets, maps, and sticky notes on just about any website.  Simply drag and drop the content anywhere onto the page and voila!  Layers also allows you to share and discuss with your buddys across various social networks.

Highlight to Search

Highlight to Search is an official Google extension.  This extension will let you search keywords and phrases simply by highlighting them.  No need for typing, here!  Once you highlight the words within a web page, you can choose to search using the magnifying glass icon that appears.

Of course these are just three of many extensions worth checking out, but you can read about many more simply by visiting the gallery.  Do you have a favorite extension for Chrome?
