SketchUp Ideas Get Heard
Over the past few weeks, the guys over at Google have been collecting ideas and questions concerning the latest version of Google SketchUp. If you follow the forum, you may have noticed that plenty of the comments and concerns have been directly addressed by SketchUp’s production manager, John Bacus. If you have any questions, you may want to check out the forum, which can be found here.
We’ve noticed that a lot of the questions and comments are related to Ruby and Plugin management issues. Because of the popularity of this particular topic, the SketchUp guys are putting their focus on the new management system. Hopefully in the coming weeks we will be able to see what they come up with.
Another popular topic that has been coming up appears to be the subject of dynamically linking files. If you know about other CAD programs, you know that this is a prominent feature in many of them. The SketchUp team has vowed to take another look at coming up with a model that will let you dynamically link files, so it looks like they’ll be further developing on that subject as well.
We wanted to let you know that the SketchUp Questions and Ideas session will close on October 1st. So if you’ve been slacking at submitting something you’d like to ask or share, don’t delay anymore. Hurry up and get heard before they close the door!
