SketchUp Guys Announce Ponoko Printing Challenge
Have you checked out Ponoko yet? If not, it really is high time that you do. First of all, Ponoko lets you turn the stuff of dreams into actual physical objects that you can hold and see. Who doesn’t love seeing their own designs come to life?
Well, the SketchUp guys want to share that excitement and pride with you. In conjunction with the launch of the Personal Factory 4 over at Ponoko, the SketchUp team has implemented a competition for SketchUp users. The challenge is to come up with a piece of instructional content. The key to this competition is to design such a piece to incorporate both entertainment and education equally.
All entries have to be titled ‘How to Use Google SketchUp for Ponoko 3D Printing’. Other than sticking to a single title across the board, the format is pretty much open to anything. You can incorporate video, images, text and graphics into your production, using one or all.
There will be three winners in this competition and we think the prizes are pretty cool. All three winners will receive a 12-month Prime subscription to Ponoko’s Personal Factory 4, SketchUp Pro 8 along with a voucher for having something made. The prizes are worth a whopping $1500.
The deadline is in just a few weeks, so you had better get busy if you want to stand a chance. All entries must be submitted no later than 17th December. Check out the official announcement page for full details.
