More Cities Get Google Boost

A couple of weeks ago the guys over at Google announced that Google Boost was now available to local businesses in Houston, San Francisco, and Chicago.  So far, the feedback has been great and the beta version of this search advertising program has been expanded to more U.S. cities.

Now, Google Boost will be available for business owners in Boston, Chapel Hill, Atlanta, Seattle, San Jose, Charlottesville, Orlando, Wichita, Washington DC, Portland, and Cross Plains.  They’ve also made it available for all local businesses in Illinois.

If you aren’t in one of the areas in which Google Boost is available, let us fill you in – it is a fast and easy way for local businesses to get the word out about themselves and connect with potential clients.

With Boost, the information from your Place page is taken and Google suggests an ad description, website, Place page, and categories along with a monthly budget.  Once you confirm everything, Boost will create an ad campaign automatically.  Business owners only pay when someone clicks on the ad.  The rankings you have with your Boost ads will not affect your organic listings.

In the next week or so, when eligible local businesses in the cities that have been added sign into their Google Places account, they will receive invitations to try Boost.  Businesses outside the area can fill out a form and request to be notified when Boost becomes available in their area.
