Monitor your Google PageRank with PaRaMeter

I have begun to take a closer interest in monitoring the Google PageRank for my websites.   There are many tools out there that will tell you right away the PageRank of your site and if you have the Google Toolbar, you can also see at a glance, the PageRank of the site you are currently visiting.  But what if you want a desktop solution?   The free program PaRaMeter could be the key.

The beauty of PaRaMeter (short for PAge RAnk Meter) is that you can enter your URL’s once and then leave it running on the desktop.  There is a one click function to update the URL’s so you can check on a regular basis if your PageRank has gone up or down.   The Trend column apparently tells you how your PageRank has changed since the last update but since I only installed the program a few days ago, that feature hasn’t kicked in for me yet.

Then if you want to document the ups and downs of your PageRanks, you can export the PR information from PaRaMeter to either the Windows clipboard or to a CSV file.

You can even monitor the PageRanks of websites that don’t belong to you (such as a business competitor).   When adding a URL, it doesn’t ask you to verify if the site belongs to you.  It just automatically adds it to the list and then goes online to retrieve the PageRank information.  So if you like to spy on other websites and their SEO ups and downs, this would be the perfect program for you.
