Making Website for Free with Google

Back in the early days of web design, there were a few companies that provided the possibility of creating a free personal website. The designs were pretty simple though, and as Blogs became popular, there is little reason for an average user to learn a programming language. Although Google is already in charge of Blogger, they are bringing the drag-and-drop-website concept back as well with Google sites.

Get a better idea of what you can do with Google sites with this video:

I don’t understand why anyone would waste their time using Google Sites.

I also don’t understand why anyone would waste their time using those awful Google Apps.

Everything they have (except their translator) is just plain pathetic.

I find Googles gmail to be very useful. Gmail has eliminated unwanted emails to just a few that make it to my inbox. Gmail has eliminated my need to use 3rd party programs such as mail washer. Gmail allows me to tag contacts so I can spot important emails right away. And gmail combines conversations into a common thread so I can review past emails. Gmail has saved me hours of time that was previously exhausted on non productive tasks.

I vote a thumbs up for up for gmail and I like their translator too.

Thanks for this reminder of Google Sites! I like a lot of the Google services, but manage my own sites enough that I have not really played with Google Sites… but it seems like a handy way to quickly play with design ideas.

I love Google and their many services they provide. There is nothing else out there like it. I find them to be very useful when working on SEM Management tasks for clients, as I can boggle back and forth between the calendar and documents. There are so many useful tools on there!
