latitudeEver wanted to know exactly where you are or someone else is while on the go? Thanks go the guys at Google, you will no longer be left contemplating your’s or anyone else’s location as long as you and your acquaintances have the Google Latitude app for iPhone. It will let you see where your friends are and share your location continuously.

Google Latitude was launched last year and has quickly become one of Google’s coolest apps. It makes it easy to stay in touch with friends and family. It has a simple setup procedure and is simple to use – even on the iPhone. The original launch was only for Android devices, Symbian, Windows Mobile smart phones, and BlackBerry.

The app works on iPhone just as it does on all the other devices. In fact, more than 9 million people are currently using it on those other devices. Imagine how many people will be using it now!

With Google Latitude comes the concern of protecting your privacy, and the guys over at Google seem to understand this. So, they’ve made it easy to control your privacy settings. The app is 100% opt-in which means you don’t have to use it if you don’t want to. Users must actively install the app and add friends, or accept friend requests, to start using it. Once installed, you can also easily choose from a variety of security settings and just how much information you would want to share.

Just remember, you will need iOS 4 or higher on the iPhone 3GS or iPhone4 in order to use Google Latitude with full support. It is possible to use it on lower versions, the iPad, and the iPod Touch, but it won’t have all the features.
