Chrome’s native startpage – where it lists the thumbnails of the most visited sites and the installed web store apps – is definitely something which a lot of users adore. However, for people who want more from their startpages, it might not be enough.

Incredible StartPage is a popular Google Chrome extension that, as the name suggests, aims to provide users with an incredible startpage for Chrome. And it does have some nice features.

As you see above, the startpage has 2 small columns and one big box along with a sticky note at the top. The columns show closed tabs, bookmark links and the apps you’ve installed from the Chrome web store. The bigger box also has a tab called “My Bookmarks” that shows the bookmarks you’ve got on your bookmarks bar (or the bookmarks toolbar).

You can drag and drop bookmarks from the smaller column to the bigger box.

The background as well as many other things in the theme can be customized. You will find the links for Theme Options and Advanced Options at the bottom of the page.

There’s also this interesting notes feature that lets you quickly jot down important stuff. It’s like a sticky note that can be immediately sent to your Gmail or Google Calendar which is kinda cool.

Overall, if you are looking to try out a new startpage for Chrome but do not want an advanced tool like iGoogle or Netvibes then the Incredible Startpage extension is an ideal candidate. Check it out and lets us know your thoughts about it in the comments.
