Hilarious Example of Google Docs Sharing Feature

I came across this video through the Google blog, geared at getting university students excited about Google Docs. It shows a great example of how Google Docs makes collaboration among friends fast and easy, and how it can help anyone create a better document. Whether it is a letter, a contract or anything else you can draft with Google Docs, sharing it with friends or colleagues can help improve it.

This student went from cheesy love letter to casual note - which got him the girl! - thanks to the help of his friends. This is a great example of a problem most of us can relate to, so using Google Docs to solve it is perfect advertising to get anyone excited about sharing their documents.

So, in the end, this shows just how easy it would be for your important documents to be scattered to the four corners of the earth, passing through the hands of friends, strangers, and even the target of an attempted take-over… hostile or otherwise. Thanks for showing me the video… don’t think I will be using this for any of my important business letters.

    @ Matt:
Yeah – like misdialing when sending your fax or trusting the Post Office to get your letter to the right place. If you’re haphazard in how you use technology (old and new) you’re going to get haphazard results. If you’re not willing to use some common sense and live in fear new things you’re going to miss opportunities that could make your life easier. I guess hand-cranking a mimeograph is still good enough for you.
