If you are looking to find sites or webpages similar to the one you are viewing then you could use the related: keyword in Google search. It’s a simple process really, but then, if you have a way to do it in one click then why not try that.

Google Chrome users do have a way to find similar sites in a single click. They’d have to use the Google Similar Pages extension for Chrome, built by Google itself. It can pull up related pages on the fly and help you in your online research.

Installing this extension is simple. Go to this link and click on install. As you can see in the screenshot below, it creates a small icon in the chrome extensions bar. You would need to click that button whenever you are on a website and intend to find similar sites on the net.

While the extension is still in beta, the results displayed are fairly accurate. I tried it for this site and the results contained sites like Google Guide and Google’s Help page, which are definitely in the same category as Google Tutor.

The extension would display 3 to 4 most similar websites in a pop up over the page. If you are looking for more detailed results then this tool may not be for you. If you do know other such tools then let us know in the comments. I’d love to hear.
