Google Shopper For iPhone is a Great Personal Shopping Assistant
Android users got Google Shopper in November last year. The wait wasn’t too long for iPhone users. Last month, Google introduced the Google Shopper for iPhone, a neat personal shopping assistant.
If I were to go shopping in a big store, I’d first sit down and spend sometime on the internet looking for reviews of the products I intend to buy, checking out photos and other product details…basically doing a bit of pre-planning and pre-shopping work so that my actual shopping experience goes smooth. Google Shopper is an app that saves this trouble for those who have an iPhone or Android. (yes, I need to get one, I know.)
So, basically you could do all the things I mentioned above, and more, on this cool app. You could check out the reviews and the prices, and then compare it with online as well as local stores quickly.

You can check out the prices as well as inventory information for a number of local stores.

It can also scan product barcodes to reveal more information about that product.

If you look at the first image above, you can see that it is pointing to the book cover. This is a unique feature of this app – the ability to scan the cover of a book, CD/DVD or a game and then unearth information like reviews, prices and comparisons about the same. It’s a step beyond the barcode scanning that many other shopping apps offer.
Overall, a useful iPhone app for frequent shoppers. It can certainly save a lot of time and frustration.
