Do you ever surf away from a page or close your web browser, only to forget how to get back to that particular website which you were lucky enough to stumble across in the first place? Chances are you have, which is why last week Google launched a new search history feature that lets you get back to those otherwise lost sites in no time.
The feature is available for items you have starred from iPhone, Android, and desktop searches. All you need to do is sign in, tap your history link at the bottom of the Google homepage, and you’re good to go!
This new search history feature works as long as you enable the search history in your account by going to Settings and then on to Save Searches. When you do this, the history that you see is actually a combination of the searches you’ve carried while signed in – no matter where from. You could have been on your laptop for one search, your Android for another, and then your computer at work. As long as you’re signed into your Google account, these searches will be tracked.
If you want to clear the history, they’ve included that feature as well, and you can also stop recording the history of your searches at any point, if you so desire. This new little feature also works with your Starred Items, so be sure to star sites you like for quick access later.
