Google Launches Much Awaited Chromebooks; Coming June 15
Google has just announced that it will launch Chromebooks (or Chrome OS Notebooks) this summer in collaboration with Samsung and Acer. The devices will make their debut in the US and in the U.K., the Netherlands, France, Spain and Germany. The announcement was made at the Google I/O conference that’s currently underway at the Moscone Center in San Fransisco.
Google has also launched the official Chromebook website. Following are some screenshots from the site.



Chromebooks will be available from June 15, and you can order it online in the US on Amazon.com and Best Buy’s online site.
There’s also something called Chrome for business and Chromebooks for schools. The former is primarily an OS for desktop built by Samsung that’ll sell for $28 per month per user. And Chromebooks for schools, as the name suggests, is for students and will be available at $20 per student per month.

The prices for Samsung’s model start at $429 and for Acer, it starts at $349.
