Google Launches Me On the Web Feature to Help You Monitor Your Online Reputation
If you are tech savvy person who spends most of his 24 hours on the World Wide Web then you’d know that it is important to know what people are saying about you online, or in other words, monitoring your online reputation is important.
There are a number of tools that help your monitor and manage your online reputation. Google has its own Google Alerts where you can set up alerts for your name, company etc. Google has now launched a feature called Me On the Web that makes this monitoring process easier.

Me On the Web will be a part of Google Dashboard (you can see it now by visiting google.com/dashboard) and will contain identity information like links from your Google profile, links to resources like how to manage your online identity, how to remove unwanted content from Google’s search result pages and about yourself on the web.
There’s also a link under Me On the Web that lets you quickly set up search alerts for your name. As you see in the image below, you can add email addresses, and also choose the frequency of the alerts that are delivered to your email address.

So, visit your Google Dashboard today and set up some alerts if you haven’t yet. Also, check the resource links that I was talking about and see what Google has to say on online identity management.
