Do you know that you can use/embed Google Gadgets on your webpage? Well we’ve learned before that we can only use Google Gadgets through iGoogle, but now, Google Gadgets on our own webpages (!) how cool is that!

You can find Google Gadgets for your website right here.

Gadgets powered by Google are miniature objects made by Google users like you that offer cool and dynamic content that can be placed on any page on the web.

Gadgets might come in handy when you’re at work (to-do list, currency converter, calendar), at school (calculator, Wikipedia, translation tool), or just passing time (news, blogs, games). You can add gadgets you like to iGoogle and, if you have Google Desktop installed, you can also add gadgets to your computer’s desktop.

OK, here’s the step by step guide on finding a Google Gadget to embed for your webpage.

STEP 1: Go to the Google Gadget Directory, browse the Google Gadget list. When you find a Google Gadget you like click the button “add to webpage”.

Step 2: As an example, I’ve clicked the “add to webpage” button of the Google Calendar Gadget. Now, adjust the display parameters to your preferences.

Step 3: After setting your parameters, you can choose to “preview” the look/design OR to get the embed code for your website. Just copy and paste it on any part of your webpage!

That’s it.
