Google Docs Now Has Pagination Just Like MS Word
One of the major differences between Google Docs and Microsoft Word so far has been the lack of pagination in the former. In Google Docs, you were not able to see exactly how many pages of content you’ve written, because the interface did not have page breaks like MS Word.
Well, not anymore. Google Docs has now introduced pagination. That means you can see page breaks in your docs editor just like you would see it in a desktop word processor. The screenshot below shows an example.

Google says that the new version of docs editor which they launched an year ago has helped create better features.
Pagination also means that now the headers show up at the top of each page. Similarly, footnotes can appear at the bottom of all the pages. That should make things more organized for people who use Google Docs as their primary word processor. The docs view can be changed easily if needed.

Another cool thing about this new feature is the integration of native printing of documents. That means going forward you can directly print from Google Docs interface and you don’t need to convert it to PDF first. This feature is only available in Chrome for the time being.
Overall, both pagination and native printing are nice features to have in this prominent web based word processor, and the day is near when you can do each and everything in Google Docs, just like you would in MS Word.
