Google Catalogs Brings Beautiful Digital Product Catalogs to the iPad
If you love browsing through product catalogs and looking at those high quality images then you’d definitely love Google Catalogs. It is an iPad app and it ensures that you do not miss the joy and awe of a print catalog while going through this digital version.

The start screen shows the catalogs arranged neatly, like books in a bookshelf. It’s almost like the iBooks start screen except that here there are catalogs instead of books.

As you would expect, the experience of flipping through the catalog pages is very smooth. It’s like turning the pages of a print catalog. You can tap and zoom into specific pages and images to know more about them.

You can create a collage of certain catalog pages and share it with your buddies. You can also share a catalog as a whole. For any item, you can find nearby stores that might have it in store, or click on Buy Now (if it has the option) to purchase it from the corresponding merchant.

You can get instant access to new catalogs by getting notified as and a when a new issue of a particular catalog is published.
Google continues to add merchants and already has a number of them in their list:
- Anthropologie
- Bare Escentuals
- Bergdorf Goodman
- Bloomingdale’s
- Crate and Barrel
- L.L. Bean
- Lands’ End
- Macy’s
- Neiman Marcus
- Nordstrom
- Pottery Barn
- Saks Fifth Avenue
- Sephora
- Sundance Catalog
- Tea Collection
- Urban Outfitters
- Williams-Sonoma
Yes, as you see, companies selling all kinds of products. Hence, a wide variety of catalogs at your disposal.
