How-to Change Gmail ‘From’ Address
This video covers how to set a custom ‘From:’ address in your Gmail account. This is a very handy feature common to many email programs and this video does a good job of showing how to configure it for Gmail users.
What is a custom ‘From:’ address for?
What a custom ‘From’ address allows you to do is:
- Send email from one main account, but receive replies at another account (the account you set the from address to).
- Send email and receive email from your “@gmail.com” account while displaying a different email address to the recipient of the email. This is often done to look a bit more professional while still using a free Gmail account.
