If you are a heavy Gmail user and toggle between different Gmail accounts then you probably use the multi sign-in feature of Gmail to handle different accounts simultaneously. It’s a good feature that wasn’t available on Gmail for mobile.. until now. Gmail for Mobile now has it along with some other cool features. Lets see what are they and how they can help us.
The multi sign-in feature in Gmail for mobile appears even better than its desktop counterpart. You can just click on the account switcher at the bottom of the Gmail mobile interface (where it shows your Gmail address) and click on sign into another account. There add the account and sign into that. Switch back to the previous account using the same technique.
There’s also an option that lets you conveniently sign out of all the accounts.
I actually didn’t know that vacation auto-responder wasn’t available in Gmail for Mobile till now. If one forgets to set that and is already headed to the airport without his laptop, he should be able to set an auto-responder from his smartphone and that’s what Gmail for mobile lets one do now.
As you see above, it’s a simple interface that lets you quickly set an off-on-vacation message.
Sent from mobile signature
If you have sharp observation skills then you must have noticed the “Use mobile instead of desktop signature” option in the screenshot above. This too is a new feature that lets Gmail for mobile users create mobile-specific signatures to let their recipients know that they are sending the emails from their mobile phone. It can be set from the Settings in Gmail for Mobile.
Overall, this definitely makes the life of a Gmail for Mobile user better. Works across all phones where one accesses Gmail using the mobile browser.
