Gmail ThreadingWhat kind of Gmail user are you? There are many users of Google Mail that really love the way their messages are organized into conversations. But there are also plenty of those that absolutely hate it and prefer the more traditional method. The conversation view of Gmail is also known as message threading, since it is organized more like a forum rather than a crowded old email account.

Those that like the conversation thread think this aspect of Gmail is a godsend.  After all, it prevents you from having to dig through tons of email messages, trawling through all the incoming replies for a single message. Simply put, those that are suckers for organization love the conversation thread.

But then there are those that just cannot stand it. Maybe they live in a world of clutter. Maybe they haven’t washed their clothes in weeks. Whatever the reason, they just can’t get past the idea of their inbox being laid out neatly and succinctly.

Turning the Conversation Thread Off

It is for those haters that the guys over at Google have announced their most recent bit of news. They’ve heard the complaints and have answered the call of all Gmail users who can’t stand conversation threading. Users can now turn the threading aspect off with relative ease. All you need to do is modify your Gmail settings for your “Conversation View.”  You can switch it on and off as many times as you like.

They say the changes should be rolling out in the next few weeks.
