If one were to make a list of the top 3 factors that contributed to the phenomenal rise of Facebook as the world’s biggest social network then there’s no doubt that social games (like Farmville and all) will find its place in that list.

Everyone knew that Google+ will have games eventually. Nobody knew when. And it happened sooner than people expected. Games in Google+ were launched a few days ago and they are still being rolled out to all Google+ users.

I got the Games tab in my Google+ today and decided to check it out. As you see in the screenshot below, the Games tab will be there right on top of your Google’s stream, once you get it.

Clicking on it will lead you to your Games page where you will find Featured Games, All Games and Game Notifications on the left.

Clicking on All Games will show you a list of games that Google+ can offer you at the moment.

The Games Stream shows you what your friends have been playing and how much they have scored.

So, have you tried games in Google+ yet? How was it? Tell us in the comments.

Why play when you can’t avoid the games posting things in the stream? That’s something facebook would force you to do. So much for hoping g+ would give you more control

I’m currently only playing Zombie Lane, but one feature I love about Google+ is that to make it easy when it comes to sharing achievements, etc. is that you can create a circle specific to people you are playing a game with so that when you want to funnel game specific updates you can send it to people you know are playing the game instead of just relying on the game updates stream.
