Android Surpasses 200 Million Installations; Galaxy Nexus Gets Rave Reviews
Since the announcement of the Galaxy Nexus Phone that runs the Android’s latest Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) version 4.0, Android has been on a roll hogging limelight across the world on a consistent basis. And it deserves that because it has really blown away even those who’ve always been cynical of Android as an operating system and as an iOS competitor, with its new phone.
Before we talk about Galaxy Nexus, lets throw some light on the number of Android installations on devices around the world. According to Google, Android has surpassed the 200 million installation mark, reports CNET. It is an amazing feat to say the least, and clearly establishes the fact that Android is the most popular smartphone OS around the world.

Now, coming to the Galaxy Nexus phone, which has been built by Samsung and runs the latest Android version, has been garnering rave reviews from every corner of the tech and mobile space. Experts say that this is definitely the most amazing and sophisticated Android phone ever built, and if we go by what Joshua Topolsky of Engadget fame who now is a part of the new site called The Verge says, this is “possibly the best smartphone ever built.”
