Just had to say about the 1 TB plan... remember, Google is not a hard drive manufacturer. 1 TB is 1024 GB, and $256 / 1024 GB = $0.25 per GB.

I'm happy about this. A couple of years ago I was forced to buy additional storage space as my Gmail account was to capacity. I have been archiving all my messages since I first opened my account early in 2005.

Yesterday I saw my Gmail storage go from 57%of 82.7 gigs to 11%. I often search my old Gmail messages and I archive lots of mp3's and pictures, too.

So long as I can continue to search my thousands of archived messages with no slow down in performance, I'll continue archiving everything. It's old habit now.

I definitely am looking forward to Google Docs turning into Gspace. I foresee a day when I can store my entire 220+ gig music collection online for safekeeping and easy reference. I truly think that is the wave of the future.
