labsThe best thing that has happened to Gmail in the last two years is the introduction of Gmail Labs and then the subsequent additions of some really cool Labs features. We at Google Tutor are extremely fond of this feature and have written about it a number of times.

There are many nice Labs features you can enable. One of them is the “Add any gadget by URL” feature. This cool Labs add-on helps you add external gadgets to Gmail. There are some useful third party gadgets available so you should consider enabling this feature.

This article will guide you how to turn this feature on and add external gadgets to Gmail.

1. Assuming that you’ve got Gmail Labs enabled, click on the green Labs icon on the top right of your Gmail.

2. Scroll down and look for the Add any gadget by URL option. Once you find it, select enable and click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page.
