Personalize & Enhance Google Search Results With WebMynd
Although Google still remains the primary method to search for information on the web, the rise of web 2.0 and various social sites like Twitter have created alternative destinations for useful data which may not be easy to find using Google.
So, when an app proposes to enhance Google search results by adding information from sites like Twitter, Wikipedia and Youtube and display the results in a sidebar than it is definitely worth taking a look at. The name of the app is WebMynd, a Firefox extension.

As you can see in the screenshot above, it displays related results for your search query in a sidebar from sites like Amazon, Twitter, Youtube and many more. The list of sites can be customized. It currently supports the following sites.
- YouTube
- Wikipedia
- Flickr
- Amazon
- Economist
- CNN
- TechCrunch
- Hacker News
- Digg
- Google Books
- Fluther
- Delicious
- Yahoo! Shopping
- Scribd
- Backtype
- Youlicit
- OneRiot
- Daylife
- LA Times
- SnappyFingers
- New York Times
Pretty long list, isn’t it. Apart from the above features, it also offers to record your browsing history and then play it back to you in a visual interface. It’s settings box is quite comprehensive too allowing you to make many changes.

If you have privacy issues then you may not want this tool to record your browsing history but it’s definitely a cool tool if you are looking to get more out of your Google search results or if you just want a centralized location where you can search your own choice of sites at once.
