Google Announces Help for Website Owners
Google announced today on the official Google Blog the newest way for Website owners to combat the horrible ‘404 error’ problem. Google has a new tool available in the ‘Webmaster Tools‘. The tool is called the ‘Webmaster Tools Crawl’ and when used it shows a list of URLs that when selected by a visitor show up as a 404 error or ‘file not found’.
To make this great tool even better, you can use the ‘404 widget’ to create a custom 404 error page to help visitors find what they are looking for on the website.
