Google Picasa Name Tags – Part 2

Ok, now on to Part 2. We’ve ended our first part of this tutorial with Picasa telling us that it has found 41 new faces like so:

The next step is to click that “add name tags” button to input the names associated with those faces. After you click the button, this is what you will see:

Notice the blue box surrounding the first photo? That means that you will be assigning a name, a “tag”, to identify that face on all your pictures in Picasa. Picasa will show you samples of where that face appears when you click the boxes. As an example, see where that face shows below:

Notice the checkboxes below every picture. You can un-check them if you do not wish to tag that face as associated with that photo.

After selecting (“checking”) which pictures you want to tag, you can now proceed to entering the tag. Look for this graphic/box below the picture set you are tagging.

Put the name you wish, then hit the “apply” button.

After tagging, you’d notice that every picture you’ve applied the tag to will be accessed easily!

Just by clicking the tagged “face” from the right side panel of your Picasa home page.
