If you have a Google Picasa account and have been faithful at updating your pages with great photos (family, office or scenery) chances are your friends would have an account too. I mean who wouldn’t be after seeing you use it and brag about the fun you had at bora-bora, they’d soon (or probably have) already uploaded their vacation shots in Hawaii to one-up you! :)

Anyway, I’m sure that one-up circle wouldn’t end! Here’s an easier way to monitor your friends photos in Picasa. Add them up as a favorite!

Here’s how:

1. Log into your Google Picasa account using your Google name and password.
2. Now, while logged into Google Picasa, go to your friend’s Google Picasa page.
3. Locate your friend’s account box at the right area of the page, you’d see an “add to favorite” button, click that. Like so:

4. Next, be sure to click yes when asked if you want to add the your new favorite/user to your “My Favorites Area”. Like so:

Now that your friend is a part of your favorites in Picasa you will be emailed everytime a new photo is posted! Now how’s that for a sure one-up competition! You get to see what’s up at their end of the forest.

This works really well with family members too. When a family member uploads new photos to their Picasa account, you’d get notified by email about it, with a convenient link to boot.
