5 Useful Google Calendar Tricks
Google Calendar is one of the best web based calendars and probably the most popular one too. It has a nice interface and comes with various features which help you to manage your daily schedule and stay up-to-date with the upcoming events.
Here are 5 useful tips to help you make the most out of Google Calendar.
1. The Quick Add Feature
The Quick Add feature makes adding schedules and events to the Google Calendar very easy and very quick to. You just need to press ‘ Q ‘ on your keyboard and add the event.

2. Use RTM with Google Calendar

3. Use Google Calendar On Your Mobile
In case you don’t know, Google Calendar can be used on your cell phone by visiting calendar.google.com. It’s a quick way to have a look at your schedule and upcoming events when you’re traveling.

4. Get Notifications On Your Mobile
You can also get free SMS alerts for important events from Google Calendar on your cell phone by turning on the notification feature. You can do this by going to Settings - > Mobile Setup and enter your cell phone number for verification. You’ll have a verification code sent to your phone and once you enter that code, you’d be eligible to get the alerts.
5. Use Keyboard Shortcuts
Like Gmail, Google Calendar also provides some cool keyboard shortcuts which make the process of adding events and managing them much faster. You can see the entire list of keyboard shortcuts here.
