There is no 100% sure way to know if your site has been hacked; and since most hacks now a days are cross site scripting, sql injection, or iframe injection based - it's less likely that this google alerts tip will work for those. otherwise you can easily detect if your site has been defaced, or otherwise spamed by this tip.
