Google Safe Browsing tool is a tool developed by Google which helps you to test a website which you think may not be authentic, before you visit the website and get infected with malware.

The safe browsing tool returns the following information about the site.

1. Current listing status of the site

It tells whether the site is listed as suspicious in the Google index.

2. Google’s previous visit to the site

This gives an analysis of Google’s visit to the site over the past 90 days and reveals if it found any page as malicious or installed without user content.

3. Indirect role of site in distributing malwares

Google’s safe browsing tool goes one step ahead and also tells if the site has functioned as an intermediary in the infection of any other sites.

4.  Any malware hosted on site

If the site has deliberately or unwittingly hosted malware in the past 90 days, then you’ll get that report in this tool.
