I was playing around with Picasa today, trying to find photos from a Jars of Clay concert we watched March of 2005. That was a long time, I know, but hey I wanted to tell a couple of close friends that we’ve seen them play live! Good band, when they’re playing in your town, make sure to drop everything and get mosh-pit tickets, you won’t regret it.

Anyway, I have a huge hard drive filled with photos, and I’m not an organized owl too. I tried Windows file explorer, nada. I didn’t want to search every folder. Hundreds!

I took the chance to open up Picasa and see if it can give me those pics pronto!

It did.

And all it took was no more than 5 clicks.

Here’s how:

Step 1: Open up the Picasa application. If you don’t have it on your desktop, you can download it here.

Step 2: Assuming you alread have Picasa for quite sometime, this will mean that Picasa knows and has indexed all your photos in the drive. So, just click the “Timeline” from under the drop down menus. Like so:

Step 3: Now you’ll see the timeline screen. Drag the slider to the desired date (in this case, March 2005) and there it is!

Easy tip! Have fun!
