If you’re fond of news portals like cnn.com, bbc.co.uk or some other major news site on the web, do try out Google’s own - Google News.

Google News is a collection of news and feature stories syndicated from the major sites I mentioned above (and more). If you’re used to clicking cnn.com 5 times before you actually land on a page you intend to visit, Google News makes it there at lesser clicks. Would you like to know how? It’s called the Personalized Page. You can see the box below when you go to http://news.google.com and click on the Edit This Personalized Page link from the top right hand area of the screen.

Now you will see this box, you are now free to drag sections to where you want them to be. Would you like technology news to be up on the upper left corner? Drag it there!

We can add and delete sections easily, but that’s another tutorial. For now, have fun re-arranging your own Google News front page and get to the news you want to read with less effort!
