Oops… the system encountered a problem (#102) - Retrying in 2:56

Each time the counter increases by 60 seconds or so. Eventually I simply close the window and do something else for a while and come back to it. Sometimes it has cleared, not always, but most times. It's a nuisance especially when at local time 09:30 most Americans are still in dreamland. After 16:00 local time (10:00 EST) there is a definite drop in download speed.

It looks like the GMail guys haven't found the answer to this problem.
I have been using Firefox and IE6. I solved this by lowering my MTU value. Original value was 1500 (my ISP speed was 6Mbps). By hit and trial I have lowered it to 1000 (now my ISP spped is 256Kbps - hehe) and everything seems to be working fine. In fact there were other issues with hotmail and windows live messenger, which were also solved.

May this will work for others also, but I am not sure.
