I'm in San Diego with the same problem using Firefox on my notebook. However, on my desktop it works fine. Could it be an antivirus program problem/config?

The problem may not be Google but a Firefox update. I can't load gmail from either my office or home computer, but Internet Explorer works fine.

Had this error the last couple of days trying to update a filter setting. It would also say it could not contact [my domain] (I use their hosted applications). I'm in the US, east coast. Reading email was working correctly. Writing was OK yesterday too.

Switching back to the older version (look for the link in the top right corner) seems to have helped me, I did get an "oops" error the first time I tried saving new filter settings, but it worked the second time around.

I´m in Buenos Aires. Everything seemed to worked with Gmail until today. OOps begun to appear and then Gmail died. I have access to Yahoo and everything but I really need to read my Gmail. Everyone has a clue on this? Thanks!

O.K., I tried to read as much I could from the discussions above, but I couldn't find if there is possible solution at all for fixing the problem with 'Oops… the system encountered a problem (#102)' or I should just wait for gmail to fix it by itself?

Tanks for your answer!
