Check flight times on Google

flightstats.gifGoogle has just announced a new feature in time for the holidays - but I was under the impression that the feature already existed.

It seems that now you can search for the status of a plane flight by typing in the flight number and the name of the airline. So by typing in “Wing And a Prayer Airways” and flight number 3434, you will find out if the plane is on schedule, delayed or arrived early. You can then go and collect Auntie Edna from the airport at the correct time instead of standing around idly for ages at the arrivals gate. Getting there too early cuts into quality celebration time!

All we need now is a Google search engine for supplying chat-up lines to stewardesses and a search engine to re-book us on the next available flight when we get bumped off the plane.    I’m sure the Googleplex has them already in the works.
