Gmail introduces colored labels
Once again, another Greasemonkey script bites the dust as Gmail slowly starts to roll out colored labels to its users. The Gmail Team must be on steroids, with the speed that they are rolling out Gmail improvements.
The colored labels Greasemonkey script was originally brought out by Mihai Parparita and I was using it for a long time. But now it is slowly being integrated into Gmail as an official feature. Of course it helps that Mihai is a Google employee. He is lucky enough to have the Google connections to turn his Gmail concepts into official functions.
Colored labels are extremely useful as you can use them to identify certain messages easier. So you can have a red label for extremely important messages, a green label for bills and invoices, and so on.
If you don’t see the feature, try logging out and then logging back in again. If that doesn’t work then wait a while. I’m sure you’ll get it soon.

Would be much more interesting/useful to label contacts, not only messages. Labelling all work-related contacts would mark all work related mail with one label & color. There’s no other way to do that. Contact groups are not that useful. What do you think?
