Ah, the great debate – full vs. partial RSS feeds!

Like many of you I’ve been following the debate all over the blogosphere for years now and I’ve finally decided to bite the bullet and go full feed thanks to Darren’s poll (75% prefer full feeds). This should be great for most of you as now you’ll be able to read all the delicious GT content without having to click through to the site unless you want to!

The only big reason I had for not doing this sooner is all the scrapers/sploggers/spammers out there, but I have some tricks up my sleeve should that become an issue, which I doubt it will.

Feedburner hasn’t updated the feed yet for some reason but it should soon let me know what you think once it does!

What’s your stance on this? Are you serving full or partial feeds on your site?

I have been using Google Reader’s “Next” bookmark for a few months now, so I am visiting your site to read the new entries anyway. :)

I’ve been using the greasemonkey script for Google Reader that adds a preview button. That works a treat for partial feeds. I think all news readers need this feature. I hope that it’s natively built into Google Reader soon.

You can now print out your full RSS feeds in a newspaper format at http://www.feedjournal.com

    Check it out.
