It slices, it dices, nah…but it does dig deep to get the dirt on Google!

Saturday morning I decided it was time to take Google Co-op for a test run. But before I could I needed something to make…hmm.

As you can imagine, I do lots and lots of searching for information about Google and as I was trying to come up with an idea, I did just that — scoured the web for any tasty bits about Google I could find. It only took a few hours of that before the lightbulb went off and I came up with the most amazing idea this side of Web 2.0:

Research Google: The ultimate source of Google information!

I’m not sure I like the name, but whatever. I kept it nice and simple and useful, here’s what it does:

  • Searches just over 160 sites, blogs, and forums at once. These sites were all hand selected by me and I’ve been following search since 1996, so you’ll be hard pressed to find better resources elsewhere.

  • Refines your searches in just one click. On the search results page you’ll see a few refinement choices of Blogs, Forums, Googlers, Officially Google, etc. One click on any of those and…wait…..for..it…your results will be restriced to just those types of sites! That means it’s stupid easy to get a well rounded view of an issue.

And that’s it! Simple. Effective. Badass.

I did a small test with some of my StumbleUpon and MyBlogLog friends yesterday and they all loved it, I hope you do too. Try it out and let me know what you think!
