Fors most other web-based applications that have grown to be popular today, collaboration is considered one key to success. That’s the beauty of the Web today. It’s either an app features user-generated content, or collaboration among users that generate the content.

This is one of the great things with Google Calendar. You can use it to share your calendar and even collaborate with other people with Google accounts (more on this later).

Of course, search is still Google’s core competency. And it brings powerful search functionalities to the Calendar application–you can now search for information across public calendars.

To use this feature, simply log in to google calendar and enter search terms on the search text box. It can either be a venue, generic location, or a description of the event you’re looking for. Then click the “Search Public Events” button.

Google Calendar will then display a list of results, based on calendar entries marked for-public viewing, or those entered by users in public calendars.

When you click on a result in the list, you will be shown the details of that entry, including time, date, venue, and description. If the venue is available on Google Maps, the system will even pinpoint where the exact location is.
