Early criticizm says there’s a lot to be desired here, but we can’t log in to try it out for ourselves, so we’ll have to wait before we throw our 2 cents in (jeez!). Here’s the pitch from Google:

Google Page Creator is a free online tool that makes it easy for anyone to create and publish useful, attractive web pages in just minutes.

* No technical knowledge required.
Build high-quality web pages without having to learn HTML or use complex software.

* What you see is what you’ll get.
Edit your pages right in your browser, seeing exactly how your finished product will look every step along the way.

* Don’t worry about hosting.
Your web pages will live on your own site at http://yourgmailusername.googlepages.com

Official site: Google Page Creator

    Currently unavailable. I think it’s just part of Marketting move.
    Create scarcity and increase virtual demand to bring read demand.

    I’ve used GPC to create a simple website (my very very first) and it was relatively easy using this Free google tool. You get 100mb of space for your web pages and images so it’s great for novice beginners like myself. For more info on GPC see: http://pages.google.com/-/about.html
