XTRA Google
Here’s a nice web page that you can use instead of the usual Google homepage that makes it easier to begin many types of searches that Google now offers. After you start up XTRA Google, just key in your search term and then press the button for the type of search you wish to perform. A normal web search button is near the search box. But, there are two rows of buttons below that for initiating most of Google’s specialized searches, plus some searches that are pre-built for certain file types like MP3s and Clips. Moving the mouse over each of the buttons will display what type of search it will perform.

Search types include Images, Groups, News, Froogle, Local, Answers, Maps, Directory, Government, Scholar, Weather, MP3, Clips, Video, Movies, Catalogs, Print, Quotes, Windows, Apple, Linux, BSD.

http://www.xtragoogle.com/ gives error: “Bandwidth Limit Exceeded”
Frank, and anyone else who cares or wants to know,
I don’t know how much you know about website hosting, but the bandwidth error given indicates that XtraGoogle has gone over the limit of data that they can transfer in a single month.
This means that if XtraGoogle has a bandwidth limit of 5 MB per month, and they want to show a webpage that takes up 1 MB of space, they can only show that webpage 5 times, because of their 5 MB bandwidth limit. The bandwidth is reset, usually at the beginning of each month.
Now, most websites have at least 5 GB of bandwidth(also known as Data Transfer Limit), and most pages take up less than a few KB of space, so a website can generally display their pages many thousands of times before running over their limit.
It appears that XtraGoogle has upped their bandwidth, as they are back up and running again, and the month hasn’t ended yet.
Seems the website is no longer available , I get Account suspended on trying to access it .
Looks like Google have told whoever made Xtra Google to take it down… look at it now.
I wonder whats coming next.
