And now a break from our regularly scheduled programming…

This post is a bit unorthodox, I know. But, here goes. Forgive me this one time.

My just-turned 17-year old son is an incredible songwriter, singer, musician and performer. He’s just releasing his first professionally recorded, mixed and mastered commercial CD. It’s not your usual 17-year old “music”–instead it’s a funky, jazzy kind of pop style that attracts more adults than teens. His name is Chase Emery and the new EP is called “Fuel.”

You can go to his site at ChaseEmery.com and listen to a full-length song. You can order it from his “Store” page. You can also go directly to his sales page at AwareStore.com. There are samples of several of the songs there. Make sure you read his bio–he’s a great young man.

People ask me why I run this site–especially when I tell them it takes a couple hours a day and my average ad income has been around one dollar a day. Good question, huh? Well, maybe this can be my payback. Since I don’t ask for donations for myself here, can I at least ask that you check out my son’s music and then if you like it, please BUY IT? It’s just $6.99!

Let me know what you think after you buy it. If you don’t buy one, I’m not talking to you. ;)

UPDATE 04/24/04: He just hit Number #1 at AwareStore.com, the largest independent artist online retailer. Here’s an image of the chart:

I was prepared to go and buy the CD simply as a thanks to you for doing this site. But WOW the music was great! I would have bought it anyway.

Tell your son he’s got a great future ahead of him.

like the man said, the site is about Google, and the post is about Music.. so Google Music :P Not how I’d title my posts, but I suck at title-ing my posts so there.

BTW, one musician to another, your son’s music rox :)
