My First Installment of the Google Manual

In addition to bringing you tips and techniques for using Google, I have an ambition to write an online how-to “manual” for many of the areas of Google–something that people can bookmark and use as reference when needed. It’s a lofty goal, and considering I do this for “fun” (LOL!), we’ll have to see how it goes.
Today, I’m releasing the first section of it. For the last few days I’ve been finding a few hours here and there to put together the first section, which is on web page searching, Google’s core. It’s nothing fancy, but I think it does a pretty good job covering everything from the basics to the most advanced web page search instruction.
Now, please be mindful this is a work-in-progress and I’ve been making corrections up to five minutes ago. I’m hoping to hear from you on what I’ve done wrong or what I’m missing, or how I can improve it in any way. Please write if you have any input. So, I guess this is called a beta, right? Hey, if Google can do it, I can do it.
As I find time, I’ll be adding to it, and going back into existing pages I can improve. Maybe I’ll get a hand from some decent writers out there and it can move forward even faster.
Why am I doing this? I really don’t know. I feel kind of like Kevin Costner in the Field of Dreams. “If you build it they will come.” Right? We’ll see.
So, go check out the beginnings of The Google Manual. I hope you’ll bookmark the site, link it in your web site, and pass along the link along to your friends.
